INVESTIGATION OF RHENIUM AND MOLYBDENUM DIFFUSION IN TUNGSTEN AND IN TUNGSTEN ALLOYS,

Abstract

The diffusion of Re into polycryst. W and into a W-Re alloy was studied; further investigations concerned the mobility of Mo atoms in single crystals and polycryst. W and in alloys of W with Mo atoms in single crystals and polycryst. W and in alloys of W with Mo. W a Re 156 and Mo 99 were used in the studies at 1900-2400 degrees. The effective coeff. of the bulk diffusion in polycryst. W. differs from those in single crystal W. The mobility of Mo and Re in the W-Mo and W-Re alloys, resp., is higher than in polycryst. W. The diffusion rate dependence on the concn. in the W-Mo system was detd. (Author)
