AUTOMATIC DETECTION AND DISPLAY OF ARRHYTHMIAS IN LONG-TERM ECG TAPE RECORDINGS.

Abstract

A computerized technic was developed to detect and display arrhythmias in long-term ECG recordings. This scheme consists of a high-speed cardiotachometer to determine beat-to-beat heart rate and a detection circuit to detect sudden rate changes. Data are processed at 7.5 times recorded speed, and the arrhythmic ECG complexes are displayed on an oscillographic recorder producing a permanent record. (Author)
