STUDY OF TRANSIENT PHENOMENA IN LOW PRESSURE GAS DISCHARGE PLASMAS.

Abstract

The report describes studies which established the dependence of Landau waves on plasma density as predicted by Landau. Good agreement was found between the measurements and the theoretical dispersion relation for a Maxwellian plasma. (Author)
