FLUCTUATION PHENOMENA AND PHASE TRANSITIONS IN CONDENSED SYSTEMS.

Abstract

Previous experiments on the critical scattering of light and X-rays from binary organic and metallic liquids, from quartz near the alpha-beta transition, and from BaTiO3 near the Curie point are reviewed and summarized; some general conclusions are stated. Results of a comparative study of several computational methods for small-angle X-ray slit desmearing calculations are summarized. (Author)
