LUBRICATION AND FRICTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF GREASES CONTAINING EXTREME PRESSURE ADDITIVES.
Abstract
Grease formulations were prepared for use in friction studies from a base grease containing only calcium hydroxy stearate soap and oil. These formulations contained the same anti-oxidant and corrosion inhibitors, with a different extreme pressure additive. Work was done to develop a formulation which was stable to oxidation and had good corrosion resistance. To this grease was added various extreme pressure additives. (Author)
