ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF MOTIONS WITH CONSTANT STRETCH HISTORY. I. SUPERPOSABLE VISCOMETRIC FLOWS.

Abstract

The article describes a method for generating non-viscometric motions with constant stretch history by superposing viscometric flows. Motions of the types (2) and (3) on NOLL's list are found in this manner and experiments are suggested to discover these material functions. The effects of superposing rigid motions on the above flows are also found. (Author)
