IMPROVEMENT OF CAVITATION QUALITIES OF LOW PRESSURE VARIABLE-PITCH AXIAL TURBINE WHEELS FOR CAPSULE HORIZONTAL TURBINES,

Abstract

For low pressure heads, horizontal capsule turbines have been found to have better overload capacities than normal, vertical units. In this work, a further investigation is reported which developed a new type of variable pitch turbine blade wheel, the PLG-16, for horizontal capsule turbines, which is better in its power and cavitation properties than earlier models.
