DESIGN PERFORMANCE AND OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ARL COMPONENT TEST FACILITY.

Abstract

The document covers a versatile, small-scale test-rig for the evaluation and study of new technologies for basic wind tunnel components. The report describes the facility and its operation. Design calculations are given for the facility from Mach 5 to 12 at pressures up to 3000 psia. Theoretical calculations are compared to actual test calibration results at nominal Mach numbers of 6, 8, 10, and 12. (Author)
