A STUDY OF CALL PROCESSING ON THE SB-2082()/GT SWITCHBOARD.

Abstract

The report covers initial studies directed towards analyzing the operator call-processing efficiency of a new family of cordless manual switchboards and comparing it to the manual switchboards currently within the Army's inventory. Subjects were required to process a battery of 50 simulated calls of various types in each mode of operation. Call-processing time and operator error were measured and later integrated into actual tactical telephone traffic data for analysis. The study concludes with a relative efficiency rating for the SB-3082()/GT Switchboard and recommendations for improving its operation. (Author)
