EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF THE ENERGY BALANCE OF THE DISCHARGE INTERVAL DURING THE GENERATION OF JETS BY THE EROSION OF ELECTRODES,

Abstract

Energy conditions were investigated which determined the generation of plasma on account of graphite anode erosion in an Ar atm. Arc current was 500-540 amp. Integral radiation of individual discharge paths and arc and anode column temps. were measured. The efficiency was 2.7-3 percent. (Author)
