RELATION OF MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE STRUCTURE OF IONIC SOLIDS.

Abstract

The elastic constants of Durango fluorapatite have been determined using the ultrasonic pulse superposition method. Room-temperature adiabatic stiffnesses are given. Comparison is made with measurements on bones and teeth. (Author)
