AIR FLOW MODELS IN A CONFINED SPACE: A STUDY IN AGE DISTRIBUTION,

Abstract

The concept of age distribution was used to study the air distribution in a confined space. This concept has been used successfully in the study of mixing in chemical reactors. Several flow models based on this concept are proposed. The use of these models in design, data correlation, control, and scale-up problems are discussed. Experimental procedures for verifying the proposed models and predicting the various parameters in the models are also discussed. (Author)
