A ROUTINE AIR ELIGIBILITY CRITERION.

Abstract

With the introduction of the C-5A in the 1970 time frame, it is envisioned that air transportation will be competitive with surface transportation for a great more items than previously. The paper discusses a new cost formula which measures both inventory costs and transportation costs, and which can be applied to existing items in the inventory and to new items as they come into the inventory, to ascertain if they are air eligible-both under today's rates and under the C-5A rates.
