ARGON ION LASER SOURCE FOR RAMAN SCATTERING STUDIES.

Abstract

Raman studies were carried out using argon laser excitation on a variety of inorganic solids using a number of different laser tube designs. Raman data has been obtained on the low energy optical modes of metals. Measurements have been carried out on many different polytypes of silicon carbide. Several rare-earth oxides and rare-earth garnets were also studied. (Author)
