AN INVESTIGATION OF TWO FACTORS IN THE INFRARED ENVIRONMENT OF AN ARTIFICIAL SATELLITE.

Abstract

The transmission of infrared radiation up through the atmosphere from various altitudes is calculated for two hypothetical water distribution models which correspond to summer and winter conditions. The background radiancy of the earth and its atmosphere is estimated for limiting conditions. (Author)
