HIGHLIGHTS OF THE STRUGGLE AGAINST THE MOST IMPORTANT INFECTIOUS DISEASES IN THE KIRGIZ SSR IN THE 50 YEARS OF SOVIET RULE

Abstract

Great progress has been made toward eradicating such diseases as malaria, diphtheria, measles, plague, cholera, poliomyelitis, anthrax, anchylostomiasis, and scarlet fever. The success is attributed to improved living conditions, public health programs, and increased medical facilities.
