STABILITY PROBLEMS IN MERCHANT SHIPS,

Abstract

The report considers the external forces acting on the hulls of marine transport vessels, the requirements specified by the Rules of the Classification Societies for the overall and local strength of a hull, and also the questions pertaining to the standardization of strength based on an analysis of the practice of building and operating the vessels, with the utilization of the probabilistic methods.
