ATMOSPHERIC ELECTRIC PROPERTIES.
Abstract
A semi-empirical model of atmospheric electric properties has been constructed. This was accomplished by combining mathematical expressions of the applicable electrical laws with an empirical formula for conductivity as a function of altitude. In this way, an internally consistent model was obtained. The calculated numerical values are well within the range currently accepted by workers in the field. (Author)
