PLANNING AND SCHEDULING JOBS ON A COMPUTER USING CPM

Abstract

The report presents by example the application of the critical path method (CPM) for the planning and scheduling of jobs on a computer. It provides a step-by-step preparation and analysis of a network representation of a computer system application. Also included is a glossary of relevant terms and a fairly comprehensive bibliography on the subject of CPM/PERT, scheduling and sequencing.
