THE INTERMITTENT REGION OF A TURBULENT BOUNDARY LAYER.

Abstract

The work described was part of a continuing investigation regarding the nature of the process of entrainment of non-turbulent fluid by an advancing turbulent-non-turbulent interface. The experimental results showed a distribution of flow properties in the proximity of the turbulent-non-turbulent interface. (Author)
