A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF HUMAN PAROTID AND SUBMAXILLARY SALIVA AMYLASE.

Abstract

The amylase of human parotid and submaxillary gland secretions was isolated by chromatography on columns of Sephadex G-100. Acrylamide gel electrophoresis of the chromatographic fractions possessing amylase activity revealed matching isoenzyme stain patterns for both types of secretion under various electrophoretic conditions.
