GRINDING AND POLISHING LARGE PLATES FOR AIRCRAFT SKINS,

Abstract

Wedge-shaped plates of aluminum alloys, used for aircraft skins, have to be either etched or milled to give them varying cross sections; after etching, the plates have to be polished. The report presents the results of an investigation of the hydroabrasive polishing method. (Author)
