IS-DIAGRAM OF NORMAL HYDROGEN IN THE 16 TO 100K TEMPERATURE INTERVAL AND PRESSURES UP TO 500 kg/sq cm,

Abstract

In view of the extensive use of normal hydrogen in the engineering applications and the fact that the existing i-s (enthalpy-entropy) diagrams are limited to pressures on the order of 200 kg/cm (to the second power), the authors have calculated a preliminary i-s diagram for hydrogen by means of a simplified procedure. The authors have used a combined analytic and graphic procedure. To facilitate the analytic treatment of the experimental data, the entire range of parameters of state was divided into three regions, one covering states of gas with density below critical at all temperatures, the second for temperatures above critical and densities above critical, and the third for temperatures below critical and densities above critical. The experimental data were drawn from published sources. (Author)
