THE TENSILE, FRACTURE TOUGHNESS, AND STRESS CORROSION PROPERTIES OF VACUUM MELTED (300) MARAGING STEEL,

Abstract

The tensile, fracture toughness, and stress corrosion characteristics of a vacuum melted 3 inch square billet have been determined. The tensile ultimate strength was in the range 295-300 ksi. The stress corrosion crack velocity was an order of magnitude less than in 434OM. (Author)
