CRYSTAL HABIT OF DIAMOND DETERMINED IN THE BASIS OF ITS ATOMIC STRUCTURE (Vyvod Formy Kristallov Almaza na Osnove Ikh Atomnogo Stroeniya),

Abstract

An analysis of the mechanism of growth of the diamond crystals, proceeding from their atomic structure, results in a diamond form with convex surfaces over the faces of an octahedron with typical characteristics of these surfaces, which even in their detail agree with characteristics of the majority of natural diamonds.
