REVIEW OF SOME RESULTS CONCERNING EIGENVALUE PROBLEMS AND CONNECTED TOPICS.
Abstract
Work done under Grant EOAAR 68-0020 is reviewed. It concerns eigenvalue problems connected with the following physical or technical topics: (1) Axially symmetric vibrations of an incompressible elastic sphere clamped at its boundary. (2) Transverse vibrations for a wedge-shaped, simply supported beam. (3) Proper vibrations of a circular membrane fixed at the boundary. (4) Eigenvalue problem concerning heat flow. (5) L-shaped membrane. (6) Eigenvalue problems for plane elastic systems. (Author)
