ON THE DILUTE SOLUTIONS OF GOLD IN Bi-Sn ALLOYS.

Abstract

In the investigation reported here, the relative partial gram-atomic enthalpy of gold at infinite dilution and the dependence of the partial gram-atomic enthalpy of gold on concentration and on temperature in various Bi-Sn alloys have been measured. The results can be interpreted in terms of the bond energies and the coordination number according to a modified quasichemical theory. (Author)
