THE ENCODING OF REACTOR EXPERIMENTAL DATA FOR TRANSMISSION ON TELEPHONE LINES.

Abstract

An information theory analysis of a popular type nuclear particle counter used in a Swedish Research Council experiment. Encoding techniques and available modules are developed that enable 5000 bits/sec of data to be transmitted on 600 and 1200 bit/sec. european telephone lines. (Author)
