Dynamics of Submarine Structures.

Abstract

The paper discusses the application of the finite element method to the analysis of complex structures under general time loading. The purpose of the finite element method is to convert the continuous differential equations governing the motion of the structure into a discrete set of ordinary differential equations. The use of the method is explained, and an extensive bibliography is included.
