ARPA COUPLING PROGRAM ON STRESS-CORROSION CRACKING.

Abstract

A progress report of the research investigations being carried out on the problem of stress-corrosion cracking of high strength materials is presented. Work concerning test techniques, materials characterization, physical metallurgy, surface studies, and corrosion fatigue is described. The report is divided into three main sections covering work on high strength titanium, steel, and aluminum. (Author)
