IONOSPHERIC RESEARCH USING SATELLITES.

Abstract

An account is given of the analysis of satellite transmissions recorded at Nairobi, Addis Ababa and Dar es Salaam. Work has been concentrated on the latitude and diurnal variation of total electron content (satellites BE-B and Canary Bird), the latitude variation of scintillation occurrence (BE-B and BE-C), and the height and size of irregularities (San Marco).
