ANALYSIS OF SATELLITE DATA,

Abstract

The report presents the results of the analysis of some data obtained from the satellite OV1-9 (1966-111A), theoretical work on the angular response of the electrostatic analyzer of the type flown on this satellite, and an empirical model for the earth's radiation belts developed as a result of the analysis of the satellite data. The data analysis pertains to electron data, with E > 0.94 Mev, in the outer radiation belt of the earth's magnetosphere. (Author)
