HIGH FREQUENCY VIBRATIONS IN PLATE STRIPS,

Abstract

The equations of motion for extensional and flexural vibration of elastic isotropic plates are derived systematically with the aid of Yu's generalization of Hamilton's principle. Using the resulting Kane-Mindlin equations for extensional motions, the frequency spectrum of an infinite plate strip is investigated for three types of boundary conditions. (Author)
