BASIC FEATURES OF THE DEEP-SEATED STRUCTURE OF THE URALS (Osnovnye Cherty Glubinnogo Stroeniya Urala),

Abstract

In the paper the basic structural zones, or first order structures (with the exclusion of the eastern part of the Russian Platform) are discussed. The works of recent years made it possible to explain, in general features, the structure of the buried part of the Ural and to determine that the eastern part of the Ural Paleozoic geosyncline passes in a submeridional direction somewhat to the east of the cities of Tyumen' and Kurgan.
