GLASS FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC TIRES FOR THE MARGINAL TERRAIN VEHICLE

Abstract

The report discusses a program to develop and fabricate glass fiber reinforced plastic tires for use on the Marginal Terrain Vehicle. These tires were to have been non-pneumatic, hence were to have provided a tire having post- damage 'get home' capabilities and several configurations of tires were fabricated for test.
