A PROTOTYPE COINCIDENCE NEUTRON COUNTER FOR INTERNATIONAL SAFEGUARDS AND ARMS CONTROL APPLICATIONS.

Abstract

A neutron coincidence detector has been developed which can distinguish between neutrons occurring as a result of fission and those due to (alpha, n) or (gamma, n) type reactions. Recent tests indicate that the instrument can also be used to predict the isotopic content of certain types of plutonium samples. (Author)
