DESIGNING A UNIVERSAL DECODER FOR CODE CORRECTION ON ITERATIVE-CIRCUIT,

Abstract

To now, a universal decoder capable of correcting any number of errors in any combination could be materialized only for small n and q (n - number of symbols in one code combination, q - number of symbol distortions in one code combination). Iterative-circuit structures permit solving a more general problem with no restrictions imposed on n and q. A method for reducing the complexity published by the author in the same issue (AT7032823) may be used to make the universal decoder practical. The process of multiple-error correction by the structure is detailed. (Author)
