IONIZATION OF HIGHLY CHARGED POSITIVE IONS.

Abstract

Theoretical results are given for the ionization of highly ionized ions having one or two open shells before the collision. Approximate sum and selection rules are obtained. Results are presented for the ionization of Fe(XIV) by electron impact. The corresponding rates are given for temperatures up to 4,000,000 K. (Author)
