AN EVALUATION OF THE SPORICIDAL CAPABILITIES OF THE STERI-SONIC 100.
Abstract
The Vernitron Corporation 'Steri-Sonic 100' has been described as a cleaner and sterilizer of dental instruments. The sporicidal capability of this unit was evaluated using heat-shocked spores of Bacillus globiggii. The spores were coated on a variety of dental instruments, allowed to dry, and placed in the unit under varying conditions. (Author)
