INVESTIGATION OF ADVANCED METHODS OF MEASURING CANNON TUBE BEND.

Abstract

The present method and equipment used for measuring cannon tube bend, although adequate, requires the operator to continuously observe measurements through an optical system. This method causes undue fatigue and discomfort to the operator and increases inspection time, cost and the probability of human error. The use of 'laser' inspection equipment for measuring cannon tube bend provides greater accuracies, simplifies the task by reducing inspection time, eliminates possible human error, and allows for the recording of measurements automatically.
