DEVELOPMENT OF INDENTATION TEST TO EVALUATE DEGREE OF BRITTLENESS OF SINTERED REFRACTORY METAL ALLOYS.

Abstract

An indentation test utilizing a Brinell Hardness Tester was investigated as a method for measuring relative brittleness in sintered metal alloys. The alloys tested were those considered most promising as fragmentation material; these included the 'heavy metal alloys' of the Ni:Cu:W and Ni:Fe:W systems. (Author)
