THE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF DUTY-CYCLE PHASE DETECTORS.

Abstract

A phase detector circuit in which the rectifying elements conduct over less than one-half the signal period has been designed. Both the theory and design of the circuit are described. The circuit can be used in applications where high gain, low offset voltage error, and wide dynamic range are a requirement. The IF frequency range of the detector, using the circuit values described, is 1 MHz or less. (Author)
