THE TRANSMISSION LINE DIRECTIONAL COUPLER.

Abstract

The report discusses the properties, theory, and design of the transmission line directional coupler. The coupling responses of the one-quarter wavelength, multisection, and tandem directional couplers are derived. Tables of design data for multisection and tandem couplers are provided and substantiated by experimental measurements. These properties of strip transmission lines relevant to coupler design are discussed and graphical design data presented. (Author)
