RODRIGUES' FORMULA AND THE CLASSICAL ORTHOGONAL POLYNOMIALS.
Abstract
It is proved that if a system of orthogonal polynomials satisfies a Rodrigues' formula then the polynomials are either Jacobi, Laguerre, or Hermite polynomials. (Author)
