Abstract
Reaction of pentaborane(9) with lithium methylacetylide yields 2-ethyl-2-carbahexaborane(9). A high temperature reaction of methylpentaborane in a fast-flow low-pressure system produces the parent 1-carbahexaborane(7). (Author)
