STUDIES RELATED TO THE DESIGN AND USE OF TIME/BEARING SONAR DISPLAYS.
Abstract
This report surveys some of the more important factors influencing the design of Sonar Time/Bearing displays. A guideline for the design of these displays, based on the limited amount of available data, is suggested, and factors affecting the choice between recorder and CRT presentations are considered. Several areas requiring further study are indicated. (Author)
