ICING-INTENSITY DATA FOR THE 1954-55 SEASON,

Abstract

Meteorological data obtained by the Aeronautical Icing Research Laboratories during natural and artificial icing tests on Mt. Washington, New Hampshire are presented in tabular form. Graphical analyses of some aspects of the data are included. The data presented consist of liquid-water content, mean-effective droplet diameter, droplet-size distribution, ambient temperature, true air speed, and type of icing. The rotating multicylinder method was used and a total of 392 exposures were made. Of this total, 329 exposures were in artificial icing conditions and 63 in natural icing. (Author)
