PRODUCTION OF POLARIZED ELECTRON BEAMS,

Abstract

A survey of proposed and working methods for producing spin polarized electron beams is presented. An 'effective intensity' and an 'effective brightness' for sources of polarized electrons are derived. These quantities serve as figures of merit to compare the utility of the sources presently available. (Author)
