INDICATORS OF THE EFFECT OF JET NOISE ON THE VALUE OF REAL ESTATE,

Abstract

Airport neighbors typically contend that their property should enjoy airport-accelerated appreciation in value but not suffer counterbalancing effects from jet noise. The paper discusses the effect of jet noise on property value as indicated by (1) market value changes, (2) insulation costs, (3) easement costs, and (4) litigation. (Author)
