BIAXIAL TENSILE TESTS OF COATED FABRICS

Abstract

This report discusses the design, operation, and purpose of a new biaxial tensile test instrument to measure the stress-strain behavior of fabrics. The report also presents the stress-strain test results on three air- supported tent fabrics performed with the new test instrument. A correlation and comparison is made between these data and previous work performed with other tensile test equipment.
